Digital Photography is Exciting and Fun As an amateur photographer, who learned photography basics working in our family owned One-Hour Photo Lab, I gained a love of capturing images that freeze moments in time for eternity.  Arguably, the most significant change in photography that I have witnessed has been the invent of digital photography which allows both the professional and amateur the opportunity to view images without having to wait for costly processing and printing.  My interests in digital photography has been in to continuously learn how to shoot the best possible images that are vibrant in color and capture emotion.  I also have a goal to sell photographic images as either standard pictures or as stock photography.  I use iStockPhoto to sell stock photography.  To view my portfolio, click here.

Canon photography equipment has always been my favorite.  Prior to the development of digital photography slr cameras (single lens reflex), I owned a Canon EOS 35mm slr camera.  I upgraded to Canon digital photography by purchasing the Canon EOS  Digital Rebel XT, 8 megapixel.  Subsequently, I purchased the Canon Speedlite 580EX II flash unit and multiple digital photography lenses, where I like my Canon 70mm - 300mm telephoto the best.  The pictures I've taken have been crisp, clean, with bright colors.  Besides having the enjoyment of taking beautiful digital photographs, my wife enjoys seeing the final prints and hanging them on the walls in our home.   Are you interested in Canon Digital Photography Equipment? Learning Digital Photography - Practice, Practice, and More Practice I truely enjoy learning how to shoot pictures.  I learned photography basics by working in our family owned One-Hour Photo Lab and having the opportunity of seeing hundreds of thousands of pictures.  I also was able to talk to professionals about how they shot specific scenes and subjects.  What I did not have was a mentor that could could provide me photography tips and tricks of the trade.  The majority of my learning was through trial and error with much practice, practice, and more practice.  Even though the basic concepts of photography have not changed, especially since digital cameras are now slr's (single lens reflex), there are tricks of the trade specifically related to digital photography.    Digital photography books that teach the basics as well as advanced techniques make the art of taking pictures more fun and exciting, especially since I have the ability to see the results immediately.  I highly recommend taking a look at some of the digital photography books currently available, a good example is  Digital Photography Secrets, where basic concepts are presented in an understandable format.  Digital photography is fun....  Spectacular digital photography is fun and exhilarating.
